In the last few years volunteers at Discover Eumundi have researched the lives of the 20 Eumundi men who did not return from WW1 who had memorial trees planted in the main street of Eumundi and in Gridley Street as a way to remember them.
This research was used to create an exhibition called 'Trees of Tribute'. You can find out more about these 20 men by viewing the audio visual stories we created about their lives CLICK HERE
Our research continues to find the stories of the 84 men of Eumundi who did return from WW1 - whose names are on the WW1 Roll of Honour in the Eumundi School of Arts hall.
An exhibition in Wan'din'in arts space called 'Men on the Honour Roll' will show some of our continuing research on the men who returned, giving an insight into their lives during the war and after they came home. The 20 audio visual stories created about the 20 men who died in WW1 can also be viewed at this exhibition.
Wand'in'in arts space is at the rear of Discover Eumundi Heritage and Visitor Centre 73 Memorial Drive Eumundi
